Margaux Towns and Villages in Margaux

Useful information

Province : Médoc and Haut Médoc

  • English
    • Margaux is a famous city in Gironde but also internationally thanks to its famous vineyard (first grand cru classé in 1855)!! The latter has the appellation of Margaux AOC but also produces other wines whose appellation is controlled, including the most essential of the region.

Château Margaux has a lot of character with its court-like façade. Without forgetting its Saint-Michel church and its statue of Joan of Arc.

The vines can be heard on the horizon, the landscape is embellished by the many wine estates in the surroundings, enough to make gourmet stops over the aromas. Tasting is an institution, leaving without having dipped your lips in this excellent beverage is an affront ;)

Golf lovers will find what they are looking for in Margaux. It is located on the edge of the Gironde estuary, it offers an exceptional setting for the curious, amateurs or professionals of swing!
