    • Rauzan, a town located in Gironde, offers a mixture of history, nature and wine heritage to travelers who tread its lands.

      A bit of history

Rauzan is best known for its medieval castle, built between the 13th and 15th centuries. This impressive monument is distinguished by its 31-metre-high cylindrical keep and its polygonal enclosure. It bears witness to a past rich in historical adventures and is well worth a visit.

Besides the castle, do not miss the Célestine cave, decorated with magnificent concretions. An underground visit will allow you to admire the wonders of nature.

The Saint-Pierre church is another major witness to Rauzan's past. Although it has undergone many modifications over the centuries, it retains a certain charm that will not leave you indifferent.

      Nature and leisure

Rauzon is located in the heart of a renowned wine region. Many wine estates open their doors to you for tastings and visits.

Head to Lake Laubesc in Cessac to relax, have a picnic or practice water sports during your stay in Gironde.

Want to get some fresh air? The surroundings of Rauzan are ideal for hiking, on foot or by bike. You will then be able to discover the varied landscapes of the region.

Ophélie welcomed us in a very professional and friendly manner within the tourist office. She was able to adapt to our situation in order to provide us with the most appropriate advice, not hesitating to take time and make phone calls. A big thank you to you, who helped to transform a somewhat incredible situation into a good memory of this charming town that is Rauzan. 😊

The municipality does not wish to receive campervans (municipal order), we did not consume anything and visited nothing Damage So I don't post a photo so as not to advertise
