La Pénate, the charm of grandmother’s cooking
It is in the heart of the historic center of Bordeaux, on Place Saint-Pierre, that La Pénate opened in May 2023. This bistro, designed and run by Sébastien, is the little brother of La Talenquère, the wine bar located right next door. The establishment offers homemade, traditional, timeless and grandmother's cuisine. From blanquette to beef bourguignon, steak or tartare, there is something for everyone. The lunch menu changes every day and you have the choice between 3 options ranging from €19 to €24.50. In the evening, the restaurant offers à la carte dishes which change every week according to the chef's wishes.
