A love of oyster farming and the Bay of Arcachon

Fred Bonnieu immersed himself in the world of oyster farming at the age of 15, and his passion has been growing ever since! As an oyster farmer, Fred is totally committed to his work, which is reflected in the exceptional quality of his oysters. His mantra is the quality of his work and his product. Fred uses a variety of methods to produce his oysters, but always in the heart of our magnificent Bay of Arcachon. Whether in sacks or Australian traps, the results vary in terms of meat content, but the taste is always the same. Thanks to his concessions at Pointe du Courbey, Arguin and Grand Banc, Fred can produce up to 45 tonnes of oysters a year.

In addition to oysters, you'll find a selection of traditional shellfish on the menu, such as prawns, whelks, shrimps and periwinkles. But that's not all: you can also enjoy smoked trout from Geloux (Landes), desserts from the Marquet patisserie in La Teste de Buch and, for an exotic touch, try some fruit with your oysters!

An added bonus is the presence of a vending machine just outside the tasting hut. This means that you can enjoy oysters at any time! These oysters, permanently supplied by Fred Bonnieu, come 100% from the Bassin. They are available all year and you can customise your order.
