- The Chicken Coop of Peio is a traditional food trade. The heart of the business is based on cooking know-how, with a selection of quality products. First of all, we are a roaster with our flame-cooked meats, which only require simple reheating in the oven, at home, then poultry with our raw poultry at retail, as well as a caterer with our seasonal vegetables simply cooked from the day, our many achievements such as our foie gras, and homemade terrine, going as far as the crème brûlée and chocolate marquise dessert.

Discovered this last week during our stay in Bordeaux and let me tell you that I haven’t tasted something so delicious in years! Everything was delicious, the roasted chicken, potatoes, roasted red and green peppers , the Greek salad ! My husband being British didn’t understand why it was a bit pricey but when he tasted the food, he realised - this is about quality food and knowing the artisans who are producing the food! Nice work, great team ! We will be back for more ☺️

This is for food to take away and prepare/warm up at home. The tables/chairs in the pictures are not there anymore. There is no seating inside and they cannot heat up the food for takeaway/picnic so although the food looks delicious we couldn't stay to eat!

Wow! We had been staying locally and walking past this place daily before finally on our last night we thought we would pop in for something a little more low key.. the owner wasn't technically accepting dine-in orders but kindly made an exception for us, popped the oven back on and served us a plate of the most mouth watering chicken, veg and potato gratin you could possibly imagine.. i can only believe it to be similar to what you might find at a traditional French home (owned by an amazing chef!). Quite a personality, I'm sure the owner was making fun of us "Australians" who popped into a chicken shop normally frequented by the locals.. he was charming of course and we can only recommend you pay this local a visit!
