The Vircoulon and Cathal families have been winemakers from father to son for several generations, and the Vircoulon family has been established in the valley since the 13ᵉ century.
CHÂTEAU MOULIN DE FAYE was created in 1996 in the Bergerac appellation in the commune of Montcaret (24 Dordogne). This family estate covers some 20 hectares.
In 2005, a new appellation was added to the estate: SAINT ÉMILION GRAND CRU. CHÂTEAU LA ROSE VIRCOULON is located in the commune of St Hippolyte at the foot of the village of St Émilion, with a surface area of 5 hectares. Grape varieties: 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc.
Pierre Vircoulon will take you on a tour of his different plots of land across the two appellations, the associated wineries and their characteristics, to help you understand how wine is created down to the smallest detail. The tours will be accompanied by a tasting of their different products, to help you grasp their subtleties.
