Twenty years ago, Dominique Hébrard, formerly co-owner of a prestigious Grand Cru Classé A, found himself looking for a new challenge following the sale of this estate. Destiny led him to Château Trianon, then in a dilapidated state. Starting from scratch, he embarked on the restoration of this promising vineyard, thus writing a new page in his winemaking journey and this vineyard with rich potential.
Nestled southwest of Saint-Émilion, their vineyard covers 16 hectares, 14.5 of which are dedicated to growing vines. Their estate takes its name from the prestigious Grand Trianon of Versailles. The origins of this place date back to the 17th century, when it is said that an advisor to Louis XIV had the château renamed and gave it the name "Trianon" in homage to Versailles and the King of France.
Committed to a responsible approach, they are proud to hold the High Environmental Value level 3 (HVE 3) certification as well as the ISO 14001 standard, demonstrating their commitment to sustainable and nature-friendly wine-growing practices.
The grape varieties, both classic and atypical , are mainly composed of Merlot (80%), accompanied by Cabernet Franc (14%), Cabernet Sauvignon (4%), and a touch of Carménère (2%). This last indigenous Bordeaux grape variety gives a particular singularity to their wines, contributing to the unique expression of their terroir.
Thus, their story, shaped over the centuries and rewritten two decades ago, is that of the vision of a man and a dedicated team who have made it possible to revive this magnificent property from its ashes. They are proud of the path taken, of sharing their passion and of the qualitative rise of their vineyard.
