Château Tour Saint Pierre: A prestigious heritage in Gironde
Château Tour Saint Pierre, a classic architectural property built in the 18th century, is a jewel in the crown of Gironde's winegrowing heritage. Once owned by the former mayor of Saint-Émilion, Jacques Goudineau, and then by a foreign group, the château returned to French ownership in August 2022. This return marks a renaissance for the estate, dedicated to winemaking excellence and the preservation of Saint-Émilion's terroirs.
A commitment to excellence in Saint-Émilion
Under the direction of David Caillaud, Château Tour Saint Pierre is committed to an innovative approach that respects vines, people and the environment. This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru has been awarded level 3 High Environmental Value certification, and benefits from meticulous winemaking. Hand-picked grapes guarantee the integrity of the fruit, which is then carefully destemmed, selected, crushed and vatted in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats.
Vineyard tour and exceptional ageing
Visitors to Château Tour Saint Pierre can discover a precise, traditional winemaking process. The wines, aged for two years using ancestral methods, are matured in 225-liter French oak barrels, with a few 350- and 400-liter barrels for more complex aromas. This approach guarantees exceptional wines, respectful of the terroir, with silky tannins and subtle oak, perfect for lovers of Saint-Emilion's grands crus.
