We loved this camping, and regretted having only one night to stay there. Arrival was slightly confusing - none of us new campers could find the office - but our short stay was perfect. The sanitary facilities are among the best we've ever seen (clean, spacious, comfortable); our dinner in the restaurant was delicious and very much appreciated after a long day's drive; we totally respected their ecological philosophies. We have recommended Chez Gendron enthusiastically to other travellers and we hope to return someday.

We stayed at Chez Gendron for two nights on our way to meet our daughter near Bordeaux, This was in May and the weather was not exactly brilliant, But this site is quite unique, the ethos regarding the natural environment and re-cycling is admirable. The couple running the site and the receptionist are so hospitable and friendly we will definitely be staying there again. The meals were superb, unfortunately the pool was not open (Because of the rain France had) but I am sure it would be wonderful. Highly recommend this site Mr. & Mrs. O`Brien - Kent, England

I stayed at this site 8-9th July 24 whilst enroute to Bordeaux from lle de re . This is a peaceful location set in the middle of vineyards. There's a small village 3km which is a beautiful cycle ride. The site itself is clean and well maintained with a swimming pool, restaurant & bar. The pitches are extra large with electric. On arrival we were met by the owner with chickens, goats and a pony on tow.😁All is very relaxed and were asked to pick our own pitch anywhere we liked.I can say that children love this site and quickly interact with other kids. No mobile phones in hand! This for me is one of the best sites I've ever stayed and it's highly recommended.5 stars
