This was one of the highlights of our road trip in France. We happened to drive through the pretty town and stopped to visit the incredible abbey. It’s really beautiful and the guide you get on entry is great. Highly recommend to anyone in the area or passing through!

We visited this Abbey on Christmas week. It’s a great combination of culture and nature. Good amount of information, not too much as it’s usually the case and a well marked tour.

Impressive ruined abbey of great historical significance, great for a day trip from Bordeaux and a 1 1/2-2 hour visit. Very kind staff who give you a detailed guide of the important stonework to see during the visit. Beautiful view across the valleys from the top of the tower. Only 8 euros for the tour plus a wine tasting in the nearby entre-deux-mers tourist/wine shop!
