Located in the very heart of Saint-Émilion, Clos des Menuts has superb medieval monolithic cellars-among the most beautiful in the village-at a constant temperature of 12°. There reigns a “religiosity” conducive to the aging of these great wines in oak barrels. They are dotted with old medieval grain silos, which constitute a very popular stopover for the many visitors to the medieval city. The cellars can be visited and a reception and tasting room is open all year round to the delight of wine lovers. You will have the opportunity to taste our estate wines.
Clos des Menuts is both a fine and full-bodied wine, with a rich and delicate sap, and superb length on the palate. From the first years, the complex aromas of vanilla and blackcurrant develop pleasantly. After longer aging, a subtle bouquet dominates, where power and finesse combine. Like any grand cru from Saint-Émilion, it should be tasted at a temperature of around 18°.
