    • The Office de Tourisme Intercommunal du Libournais promotes tourism in the 45 communes of the Communauté d'Agglomération du Libournais.

Its Tourist Office, located in the heart of the Bastide of Libourne, is open all year round. It also travels to many of the region's events, thanks to its CaliVan, a vehicle that welcomes visitors from all over the region. See you soon on the roads of Libourne!

Rendezvous between Bordeaux, Blayes and Saint-Emilion to discover the Libournais, a region where history, culture and nature come together to offer an unforgettable experience. Whether you're a wine connoisseur, history buff, nature lover or simply looking to relax, the Libourne region is bound to have something to offer you.

We look forward to welcoming you and helping you discover the wonders of our beautiful region!

A land of wine and gastronomy

The Libourne region is world-renowned for its exceptional vineyards. Wine lovers can explore the famous estates, taste renowned vintages and discover the secrets of winemaking. Don't miss a visit to the cellars and a tasting of emblematic wines such as Saint-Émilion, Pomerol and Fronsac.

The gastronomy of the Libourne region is as authentic and refined as its wines. Local restaurants and inns offer traditional dishes, featuring local produce.

In the Bastide of Libourne, let yourself be seduced by the Place Abel Surchamp and its arcades. Take advantage of its renowned market (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays): lively and friendly, you'll discover local produce alongside those who know it best.

      Nature and outdoor activities

Nature lovers will find plenty to do in the Libourne region. Take advantage of the many hiking and biking trails along the banks of the Dordogne, through the vineyards and surrounding forests. The river also offers a wide range of water sports, including canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding and WakeBoarding.

Take a cruise on the Dordogne and discover the surrounding flora and fauna.

Finally, have you heard of the Mascaret, the natural phenomenon for which the Libourne region is famous among surfers? This natural wave forms when the rising ocean tide meets the falling river current. It's a rare and unique phenomenon, occurring in only 60 or so places on the planet!

      Land of history

Stroll among heritage and pretty stones: in Libourne, experience 5000 years of history, medieval castles, mills that can be visited to our great delight, thousand-year-old Romanesque churches, chapels, abbeys or even a tourist train to travel as in the old days, there's something for everyone in Libourne.

      A land of festivals

Throughout the year, the Libourne region comes alive with events and festivals that highlight its culture and traditions. Each season brings its own set of celebrations, offering visitors an authentic immersion in local life.

Even in winter, Libourne is home to Santa's Secretariat! So come and experience the magic of Christmas with us from the end of November, and don't forget to write to Santa!

      How to get here

Just 30 minutes from Bordeaux, the Libourne area is easily accessible by car and train. Enjoy the proximity of the Bordeaux metropolis while immersing yourself in a more tranquil and authentic setting.
