    • At the gates of Bordeaux, between Dordogne and Garonne, Entre-deux-Mers seduces you from the start with the serene beauty of its landscapes. The relief envelops you in its folds. It carries a small galaxy of small towns, with its myriad of wine-growing areas, castles, rural buildings, belvederes, and those jewels of medieval town planning that are the bastides, those checkerboard towns and arcades.

In season, the roads are brightened up with tasting cellars, open-air markets, village events and festivals.
It is an ocean of vines where the whole range of Bordeaux wines is represented. Here, the wines are simple and generous, the winegrowers welcome you in all modesty and share with you the pleasure of the products resulting from the work of their vines.
The Bordeaux hinterland conceals many treasures to be unearthed. Nestled in their green setting, a host of small Romanesque churches and illustrious abbeys await you. In the cities or in the middle of the vineyard, randomly on the small roads you will discover the fortified water or wind mills , the medieval, Renaissance or classical castles...
Entre-deux-Mers has managed to preserve the memory of stones. Its monuments tell a story embellished by the centuries.

Away from the main traffic arteries, the Bordeaux hinterland makes you feel wanderlust. Country roads, cycle paths, botanical paths or bushy paths invite you to linger.

Both unique in its appearance and so diverse in its features, the face of Entre-deux-Mers takes shape over its territories: The Portes de Bordeaux, the countries of Créon, Cadillac, Sauveterre-de-Guyenne and Targon, La Reole, Monsegur. Each of these municipalities and their surrounding countries has its own tone and contributes to the harmony of the whole.

      Around Sauveterre... A land, people

      Nature at heart

At each stage, we share succulent dishes, stories inscribed in old stones, hidden splendours...

In this region largely shaped by the culture of the vine, beats the heart of the Entre-deux-Mers. It beats strongly on days of jubilation when the bastide town of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne organizes its “Fête des Vins”. You can hear it throbbing on the sculpted eardrums of small Romanesque churches. They, too, celebrate the divine beverage. Here, the work of men has always married nature. The locals will be able to guide you to the rocky outcrop of Roquefort, east of Targon, where a “covered alley” is hidden, a megalith several thousand years old.

Very good advice for visiting the city. Do not hesitate to ask for the key to the tower to have a view of the entire old town and the surrounding area. And the key to the cellars which presents a permanent exhibition on the towns of the region. Very friendly staff. To recommend and to visit when arriving in town.

Very good advice office. Charming, intelligent and helpful welcome. We had access to the keys to visit certain places as well as a small tour booklet. Bravo to the city for highlighting its heritage!
