Castle La Clyde, Côtes de Bordeaux in biodynamic and organic
Castle La Clyde wines have been produced since 2016 by Florence and Jacques Jouny. They cultivate their vines “like a large garden”, that is to say with all the care and attention necessary for the production of great wines. The plots are certified HVE, Organic Agriculture and Bio-Dynamic, these are wines shaped with love, grown without chemical inputs or pesticides harvested by manual harvest.
It's not just the plots that have benefited from a conversion! Florence and Jacques were not initially winegrowers, but it was when they retired that they took on this challenge of viticulture, which they take up hands down on their estate on a human scale. They produce around 10,000 bottles per year, in 3 or 4 cuvées and one of the red cuvées is even aged in oak barrels.
Castle La Clyde is located near the Garonne river, in Tabanac to the south-east of Bordeaux, not far from Langoiran. They welcome you for a visit to their cellars, to discover the vineyard, organic and biodynamic viticulture, and the passion for this demanding but so generous profession.
